That's Show Business.

Well, Folks, What with this and that, there’s no doubt that the years are fairly flying by…. Many years indeed, and in and out of this old music business for most of them. They don’t call it show Business for nothing .The king took care of business then the business took care of the king. I woke up with Elvis, the Everlys , Chuck , Hank , Johnny Cash, and all the rest of the Rock and Roll and Country guys . Really far too many to list here.. They all still hold a warm place in this old heart .Then came the The Beatles, and Bob Dylan, and The Blues. They all took me by the hand too. Then came Jesse Winchester. Then Tony Joe White. This was all really just enough for the poor boy. It could be all downhill from there on in, so I tried my best to watch my step and stay cool, just tryin’ to make sure that I had a spare first and second string and a capo.

Up and down your countries, workin’ in your towns. Talk about running on empty. You’ll have to get out and maybe push that thing to the pumps. But not to worry. You’ll get some credit later with the welcome applause from your dear audience, and maybe a few shekels thrown in too for good measure.

Portstewart is my home town. Something in the air here. Probably the Atlantic Ocean and the sea spray from the rocks. It’s a small town with small talk but big hearts. Like I said, dear reader, the years are fairly flyin’ by. Outside the rain and hailstones are slicing hard against my window pane, and they say there’s a risk of ice on the roads. It’s a good day to be alive and happy . All 6 strings are still on my guitar. It’s the second last dance and the band are still in tune. God bless, safe home, and thanks for lookin’ in. Come back soon.

Peace and Love, Victor.
